Vice President, Human Resources Operations

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is a globally recognized musical instrument manufacturer seeking a Vice President of Human Resources, Operations to lead HR functions at its Corona factory and San Bernardino Distribution Center. This role focuses on workforce strategy, employee engagement, safety, compliance, and culture transformation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and labor compliance.
  • Experience in workforce operations management including absenteeism, labor cost, and employee relations.
  • Expertise in HR analytics, dashboard creation, and KPI interpretation.
  • Capabilities in bilingual communication (English and Spanish) preferred.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors and ADP.
  • Leadership and coaching skills for frontline supervisors.
  • Operational knowledge in manufacturing or industrial settings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead employee relations, labor strategy, and grievance resolution in compliance with California laws.
  • Develop and implement programs addressing mental health, wellness, and employee recognition.
  • Design and execute bilingual internal communications and culture engagement initiatives.
  • Manage safety metrics, workers’ compensation, and risk mitigation in partnership with EH&S teams.
  • Oversee supervisory coaching and bilingual training programs to improve frontline leadership.
  • Align people strategy with manufacturing operations and financial goals including workforce planning and labor cost control.
  • Monitor and report operational HR and compliance KPIs, building dashboards for real-time workforce insights.
  • Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and oversee timekeeping and break practices.
  • Lead talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies for manufacturing talent.
  • Manage HRIS, timekeeping, and performance management systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate on legal compliance, audits, and investigations alongside legal and HR leadership.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field required.
