This is a key opportunity for an experienced proposal professional to lead high-impact federal contract submissions in a fast-paced, mission-driven tech environment. Working cross-functionally with business development, technical, and revenue teams, you’ll own the full lifecycle of proposals—from opportunity shaping to post-submission support. The ideal candidate brings a sharp eye for compliance, persuasive writing skills, and the ability to translate technical inputs into winning content. This role is fully remote, offers travel opportunities, and includes outcome-based variable compensation.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage the complete proposal process for RFPs, RFIs, BAAs, OTAs, and IDIQ task orders, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
  • Coordinate contributions from technical, pricing, capture, and executive teams to craft compelling proposals.
  • Write, edit, and refine technical and management sections to clearly convey value and align with win themes.
  • Maintain templates, calendars, checklists, compliance matrices, and style guides for proposal submissions.
  • Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and opportunity assessments to inform strategy.
  • Oversee timelines, resource allocation, and partner coordination throughout the proposal process.
  • Drive continuous improvement in proposal quality through best practices (e.g., Shipley), feedback, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and customer success teams to support integrated revenue operations.
  • Implement and optimize CRM systems and sales/marketing tools to enhance process efficiency.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to track performance metrics and inform strategic decisions.
  • Travel required up to 25%.
  • 5+ years of experience writing and managing proposals for US Government contracts, ideally in the defense sector.
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition strategies, contracting regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Proven success in revenue operations, sales support, or proposal management roles.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms such as Monday.com or HubSpot.
  • Experience with government-focused proposal methodologies and lifecycle tools.
  • Excellent communication, writing, editing, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a remote, fast-moving environment.
  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is highly preferred.
  • Analytical, strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Competitive base salary: $123,202–$162,000 USD
