As a Principal Hardware Design Engineer, you will take a leading role in designing advanced electronic systems, spanning digital, analog, and power circuits. You will be responsible for developing hardware and software solutions that meet stringent quality and performance standards, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products. This role offers the chance to work on high-speed networking, telecommunications, automotive, medical, aerospace, and consumer electronics projects. You will influence design specifications, perform signal and power integrity analysis, and guide prototyping and system integration efforts. Your work will directly impact product reliability, scalability, and customer satisfaction, in a dynamic and highly technical environment.

• Accountabilities
• Lead the design and development of complex digital, analog, and power circuits for electronic hardware systems.
• Create functional design specifications and drive project design scope independently.
• Design and verify FPGAs and CPLDs using Verilog or VHDL; develop test benches and validation procedures.
• Conduct schematic capture and layout review, providing guidance and management for design teams.
• Perform pre- and post-signal and power integrity analysis to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Integrate prototypes and oversee system-level hardware and software testing.
• Ensure designs comply with EMC, CE, and UL requirements, and support product reliability goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers.

• Requirements
• 10+ years of experience in hardware design engineering.
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Expertise in circuit design across digital, analog, and power technologies.
• Proficiency in FPGA/CPLD development and verification tools (ModelSim, Xilinx, Altera).
• Experience with schematic capture and layout tools (Siemens DxDesigner preferred, Altium, Xpedition).
• Strong knowledge of microprocessor, DSP, PCIe, DDR, USB, Ethernet, BLE, and WiFi interfaces.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with formal project management and system engineering methodologies.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics markets is a plus.
