As a Project Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for working closely with early customers understanding project requirements and partnering with our engineering team on technical solutions for our products. You will be the key point of contact for customer pilots, providing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will be supporting in building out our product documentation and troubleshooting technical issues.
Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project needs, act as "voice of the customer"
Work alongside the forward deployed engineering team to gather customer requirements and propose technical solutions
Deploy Heron’s first pilot projects both internally and with customers
Provide technical support and guidance to customers throughout the product lifecycle. Troubleshoot technical or integration issues and seek timely resolution
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies to ensure our products remain competitive

Electrical Engineer with deep background deploying or designing MW-scale electrical equipment and/or installations
Experience with MV distribution design and protection systems
Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure project development lifecycle
Awareness of interconnection processes and guidelines for large sources or loads
Delivered MW-scale projects from concept to commissioned and operating on the grid
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Lead GW scale projects through grid integration process
Proven experience in bringing new electrical equipment to market in technical support, or product/project engineering role centered around mass-deployed electronics components and systems.
Knowledge of utility scale solar, energy storage, EV fast charging and/or data center project development
Prior experience at an EPC, as an owners-engineer, or in energy project O&M
Prior experience with power system modeling and software (PSS/E, PSCAD, etap, Simulink)

Heron Power provides competitive compensation (salary and equity) and benefits. The salary for this role ranges from $150,000 to $220,000 per year.
