AVP - Chicago (Director of Sales)

Corelight builds network-based detection and response solutions founded on open-source innovations to help organizations hunt threats and speed incident response. They are seeking an AVP / Director of Sales based in the Chicago/Central territory to lead, coach and scale a team of Strategic & Enterprise Account Executives, drive regional revenue, and partner across the organization to execute sales strategy.

Skills

  • Proven sales leadership and coaching skills
  • Deep understanding of complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
  • Experience with pipeline development, deal strategy and forecasting
  • Strong executive communication and presence
  • Data-driven decision-making and ability to implement structured sales methodologies
  • Cross-functional collaboration with SEs, Marketing, Channel and Product
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth and distributed environment
  • Willingness to travel regularly

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop Strategic & Enterprise Account Executives to drive performance and career growth
  • Own and drive revenue attainment for the assigned Central region, ensuring targets are met or exceeded
  • Define and execute area sales strategy in partnership with RVPs and executive leadership
  • Coach reps on pipeline development, deal strategy, forecasting accuracy and execution of sales methodology
  • Ensure consistent adoption of sales processes, playbooks and CRM tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SEs, Marketing, Channel and Product to accelerate deals and adoption
  • Track and report performance metrics for data-driven decision-making
  • Represent Corelight externally with customers, partners and at industry events
  • Foster a culture of accountability, low-ego results and applied curiosity
  • Travel within the territory as required to support sales activities

Education

  • BA/BS technical degree or equivalent experience
  • Relevant professional sales training or certifications beneficial
