Program Manager, People Strategy & Innovation

Human Interest is a high-growth fintech on a mission to expand access to retirement benefits for employees at small and medium-sized businesses. The company is seeking a strategic, highly organized Program Manager for People Strategy & Innovation to partner with the Head of People and drive cross-functional People initiatives, implement AI-enabled process improvements, and scale People operations across Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Business Partners, and People Operations.

Skills

  • Program and project management for multi-track, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strategic planning and operational execution
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI/automation tools
  • Strong data analysis and visualization (Google Sheets/Excel, Tableau, Workday)
  • Vendor and contract management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences
  • Change management and stakeholder alignment

Responsibilities

  • Define, launch, and drive the People Team's annual and quarterly strategic priorities with measurable outcomes
  • Act as primary liaison and program manager for multi-functional People initiatives involving Finance, Legal, and Technology
  • Manage People Team operating cadence: all-hands, offsites, leadership meetings, and quarterly business reviews
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contract renewals, SLAs, and project-specific budgets
  • Lead multi-track projects from scoping through delivery, including resource allocation and status reporting
  • Develop and maintain People Team process documentation, roadmaps, and knowledge repositories
  • Optimize resource allocation to prioritize high-impact work aligned to company goals
  • Research, evaluate, and implement AI tools to automate HR tasks and improve employee experience
  • Partner with People Operations to build dashboards, synthesize data, and provide actionable insights
  • Continuously streamline People processes to improve scalability and reduce friction

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Comfort with data- and tech-driven HR environments
