Learning and Development Partner, Property Claims

Hippo is a modern homeowner-focused insurance company reimagining coverage and care across the homeowner journey. The Learning and Development Partner will design and deliver engaging, job-specific training for the Property Claims team to improve skills, quality, and efficiency in a fast-paced claims call center environment.

Skills

  • Practical application of Adult Learning Theory and instructional design principles
  • Experience in claims handling or insurance (personal lines, property preferred)
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and classroom management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment and adapt content quickly
  • Experience creating assessments and measuring learning outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Deliver new hire curriculum and lead onboarding sessions for Property Claims staff
  • Collaborate with Claims leadership and subject matter experts to develop and refine curriculum
  • Create engaging, interactive learning activities and compelling course content
  • Design assessments (quizzes, tests, practical evaluations) to measure training effectiveness
  • Foster a supportive adult learning environment and coach employees to improve skills
  • Track training outcomes and recommend improvements to increase quality and efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support claims learning initiatives

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR, Business, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent experience in training and claims handling accepted
