We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and highly experienced Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our East Coast team. This leader will play a key role in driving people strategy, partner engagement, and organizational performance across a regionally diverse and high-performing client group and will be based in the New York City office with a hybrid work arrangement.

At Fragomen, you'll be part of a global team that values expertise, innovation, and collaboration. We offer a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to shape the future of HR in a firm where people and purpose come first.

How will you make a difference as a Senior Director, HRBP at Fragomen?

  • Serve as the primary HR contact for a defined population of partners and directors, supporting leadership development, organizational planning, and succession management.
  • Facilitate strategic talent discussions to support growth, retention, and workforce planning across regions and business units.

Team Leadership

  • Directly manage and develop a team of HR Business professionals ensuring high levels of capability, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, cross-functional partnership, and operational excellence within the HR team.

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Lead initiatives related to organizational design, change management, and performance culture.
  • Drive engagement strategies informed by data and partner input to support a high-performing and inclusive workplace.

Talent and Performance Management

  • Oversee key processes including year-end reviews, promotion cycles, compensation planning, and performance interventions for senior talent.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Development and Inclusion teams to ensure a robust pipeline of diverse leadership talent.

HR Operations and Risk Mitigation

  • Partner with Employee Relations, Legal, and Compliance teams to proactively manage sensitive matters and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Ensure alignment with global HR standards, local employment regulations, and firm-wide values.

Executive Communication and Reporting

  • Deliver executive-level presentations and briefings to firm leadership on talent trends, headcount data, and workforce planning recommendations.
  • Leverage metrics and reporting tools to guide decision-making and monitor progress against strategic goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior business partner role supporting executive or partner-level stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in a professional services, legal, or global matrixed organization strongly preferred.
  • Proven success leading high-performing HR teams and driving strategic HR initiatives in fast-paced, complex environments.
  • Deep expertise in talent management, employee relations, change management, and leadership coaching.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and influence skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and a proactive, consultative approach.
