We are seeking a seasoned, strategic, technologically adept, and people manager who will lead, coach, and manage our growing team of Solutions Consultants for the enterprise customer segment. This is a unique opportunity to scale and further expand our APJ team. You’ll be a high-energy, strategic, and coaching-focused leader, responsible for the professional growth and development of your team. The Manager will grow, develop, and support a collaborative and results-driven team culture and environment that allows individuals to thrive and customers to realize the value of DeepL. By building strong cross-functional relationships — including with Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Support, and Finance — you’ll stay ahead of product innovations, ensure customer feedback informs our roadmap, and guide your team to deliver compelling solutions during complex sales cycles. You’ll be a technical thought leader and advocate, continually refining best practices for demos, technical assessments, and workshops, while championing customer needs to further DeepL’s mission and market expansion.

Set the vision, culture, and clear performance expectations for your team, aligning with DeepL’s broader organizational strategy and market expansion goals.
Recruit, onboard, and develop new team members, creating robust training frameworks that accelerate ramp-up time and maintain high performance.
Standardize best practices and processes — sales playbooks, technical assessments, demos, and workshops — to continuously improve team efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate cross-functionally to stay ahead of product innovations, integrating new features and feedback into your team’s approach and enabling them to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
Be a thought leader, customer advocate, and partner to employees and customers, providing senior-level technical guidance to support sales.
Act as a customer champion, ensuring feedback and insights are channelled effectively into DeepL’s product roadmap, messaging, and overall customer experience.
Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, and leading teams with a focus on pre-sales engineering, solution consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
5+ years of hands-on experience in a Solutions Consultant, Sales Engineering, or equivalent function within the SaaS industry.
Proven track record of building high-performing teams that meet and exceed objectives.
Demonstrate strong customer empathy and passion for revenue growth, backed by in-depth knowledge of enterprise technology solutions.
Outstanding leadership skills, with a commitment to cultivating talent, fostering collaboration, and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
Exceptional communication skills across mediums and stakeholder groups — capable of simplifying complex concepts and presenting them effectively to diverse audiences (employees, execs, customers, prospects).
Strong strategic thinking and project management abilities, using both data and intuition to solve problems and make decisions.
An enthusiastic and creative leader who is eager to develop and learn, and who inspires a similar attitude in others.
A passion for solutions consulting, technological innovation, and overcoming language barriers on a global scale.
Experience with Salesforce or related CRM tools is preferred
Are comfortable with a hybrid working model and able to come into our Austin office regularly (2x a week). This is important to us in order to build a strong culture within our first US hub
