At 1Password, we believe the right partnership can change everything. In our Consumer business, we’re pursuing a small number of game-changing relationships — the kind that can redefine distribution, unlock new markets, and multiply the size of a category-defining business.

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships – Consumer Growth, you will act like the general manager of these high-stakes partnerships. The internal title for this role will be Principal Strategic Partnerships, Consumer Growth. This will be an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Self-Serve, you’ll be responsible for operationalizing, scaling, and maximizing the performance of partnerships that drive growth in our Self-Serve business. These partnerships span large-scale consumer brands that can bring 1Password to millions of users globally.

This role demands full P&L-style ownership and is ideal for a strategic operator with a GM mindset who executes with discipline across teams to turn partnerships into revenue‑driving growth engines. You will be accountable for ensuring strategic partnerships are built, launched, and operated effectively from initial activation through ongoing growth and optimization.

This is a remote opportunity within the US and Canada.

What we're looking for:

  • 8–12+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, go‑to‑market operations, or related roles at a high‑growth consumer or product-led SaaS company.

  • Proven track record owning high-visibility, revenue-impacting partnerships from launch through scale.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills; you can drive Product, Engineering, and Marketing toward shared outcomes.

  • Executive-level communication and influence, internally and externally.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for clarity, momentum, and results.

  • Bonus: Familiarity with identity, security, or ecosystem partnerships.

What you can expect:

Own Partner Performance & Revenue Outcomes

  • Be fully accountable for delivering the revenue, adoption, and impact of our strategic consumer partnerships. You maintain a relentless focus on partnership success—if a partnership is off track, you drive urgent course correction until it’s performing at its full potential.

  • Lead implementation, product integration, and partner marketing initiatives that deliver a frictionless customer experience and unlock growth. Proactively surface and address execution risks, ensuring each touchpoint is tuned for performance and impact.

  • Coach and support partners to fulfill their commitments, invest in growth, and go to market effectively.

  • Define and monitor KPIs, run regular partner business reviews, and proactively identify levers to grow, retain, and expand customer value.

Operate with a GM mindset

  • Run the partnership like a line of business—aligning teams around goals, timelines, and decisions to ensure flawless execution.

  • Lead internal execution across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and CX. You will be the central node who translates strategy into action.

  • Turn partner goals and commitments into clear operating plans, identifying tradeoffs, resolving blockers, and escalating where needed.

  • Bring urgency and ownership to every phase—from launch planning and onboarding to scaling and optimization.

Shape Strategic Direction

  • Shape the strategy for how we structure, implement, and scale high-impact Consumer partnerships—grounded in what drives results.

  • Inform new deal structures with executional insight to ensure long-term success.

  • Distill learnings to influence future roadmap priorities and help identify the highest-leverage partner opportunities.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $164,000 USD and $251,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $172,000 CAD and $246,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
