Aurelian automates non-emergency calls for 9-1-1 centers. We do this through an AI-powered operator that routes, triages, and resolves calls without the need for human intervention. By doing this, we let 9-1-1 dispatchers focus their time and energy where it’s needed most: actual emergencies.
Nationwide, the average emergency communications center (ECC) is 30% understaffed. Staffing shortages have lead to call-taker burnout and attrition, which is exacerbating the problem even more. Post COVID, wait times for 9-1-1 calls have reached a boiling point; imagine, in the most stressful situation of your life, waiting on hold for over a minute.
But what’s most shocking is 60-80% of the calls 9-1-1 operators take aren’t even emergencies. They’re administrative calls that have been punted to ECCs: noise complaints, lost dogs, paying parking tickets, etc. Our conversational AI answers these administrative calls, reducing hold times, and freeing up human operators to deal with emergent situations.

We’re looking for a Recruiting Sourcer to join us on a 6-month contract-to-full-time basis. You’ll work directly with our Head of Talent to identify and engage high-quality candidates across multiple functions as we scale through an exciting stage of growth.
We’re in an exponential phase of hiring, and this role will be key in driving top-of-funnel success across both technical and non-technical teams. The ideal candidate is someone very hungry to make an impact, who feels high reward in uncovering the needle in the haystack, and has a relentless drive for growth.
For the right person, this role offers a clear path to convert to a full-time Recruiter position with expanded responsibilities and ownership.
Source candidates across a wide range of roles to build top-of-funnel - from engineering to sales, marketing, design, and operations.
Use tools like Juicebox, LinkedIn, etc. and other creative channels to identify strong talent.
Build thoughtful and personalized candidate searches and outreach approaches that represent our brand and mission, focusing on quality vs quantity.
Partner with the Head of Talent to calibrate profiles, align on pipelines, and iterate based on feedback.
Move quickly, stay organized, and adapt as priorities shift.
1–3 years of sourcing or recruiting experience, ideally:
Trained at an agency or search firm, and
Have since spent some time in-house at a startup.
Experience sourcing both technical and non-technical roles.
Extreme bias towards action, organized, and able to prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
Comfortable working in gray areas with limited structure.
Familiarity with Ashby, Juicebox, and LinkedIn Recruiter
