Remote – North America | Full-Time | Canals AI
Canals is a bootstrapped, profitable startup transforming wholesale distribution (a trillion-dollar industry) with AI. Our platform integrates seamlessly with the systems distributors already use, automating tedious tasks and reducing failure points in moving physical goods across the globe.
We’re a 55-person, fully remote team (40 in engineering) across North America, operating at millions in ARR and growing rapidly without outside funding.
We’re hiring a Technical Recruiter to help scale our world-class engineering and product teams. Our customer base — and the complexity of our platform — is expanding quickly, and we need someone who can build strong pipelines of exceptional talent to keep up.
You’ll partner directly with hiring managers and leadership to execute recruiting strategies across engineering (backend, frontend, DevOps, ML/AI) and product (design, management, and more). This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves finding and closing top talent, and wants to play a hands-on role in shaping a growing company.
Own full-cycle recruiting for technical and product roles: sourcing, screening, managing interviews, and closing offers.
Build and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates through creative sourcing and outbound strategies.
Partner closely with hiring managers to understand role requirements, craft outreach strategies, and calibrate on talent quality.
Manage candidate experience end-to-end — ensuring every interaction reflects Canals’ culture of transparency, excellence, and ownership.
Use data to track pipeline health, conversion rates, and hiring velocity to continuously improve process.
Represent Canals authentically to the market, telling our story in a way that excites top technical talent.
3+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, either in-house or at an agency, with a strong track record of delivering hires.
Exceptional sourcing ability — you know how to create smart searches, filter effectively, and identify great talent efficiently.
Strong communication and selling skills — you can engage, qualify, and close candidates in competitive markets.
Experience recruiting for technical roles (software engineering, machine learning, DevOps, product, design).
Comfortable managing multiple requisitions and building consistent pipeline momentum in a fast-moving environment.
Proactive, process-oriented, and collaborative — you take ownership, deliver results, and make the team better.
Bootstrapped and profitable: Stability and autonomy — no fundraising distractions or shifting investor goals.
High impact: You’ll play a key role in building the teams behind our core AI platform.
Strong engineering culture: Partner directly with exceptional engineers and product leaders.
Remote-first flexibility: Work anywhere in North America.
Product-market fit: Customers love what we’ve built — and we’re growing fast.
Tight-knit, no-ego team: You’ll join a group of builders who care deeply about their craft.
