Veterinary Campus Recruiting Specialist - Student Programs (Remote)

Company Description

Alliance Animal Health is a fast-growing, private equity backed Veterinarian Service Organization that operates as a majority owner and business partner to many veterinarian practices across the US. Our goal is to make it easier for our practices at every step by providing world-class business solutions like talent acquisition, marketing, human resources, finance, and operations, so that they can focus their energy on providing incredible care for animals. In fact, our Core Values are (quite literally) written with PETS in mind: Passion, Engagement, Trust and Service.

We want our doctor partners to choose what's best for their practice because they are the experts in medicine, while we customize the support, the co-ownership approach, and business solutions based on their goals. We pride ourselves on maintaining a culture of open communication and collaboration to deliver innovative solutions to advance today’s veterinary environment - without disrupting the medical autonomy and what makes each of our hospitals unique.  Because at the end of the day, our central support team exists to serve our practices. So, if you’re excited about using your talents to make an impact on the health and wellness of pets - we’d love to talk with you!

Job Description

The Veterinary Campus Recruiting Specialist – Student Programs plays a vital role in connecting the next generation of veterinarians and veterinary technicians with career pathways across our hospital network. This position is ideal for a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) with a minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably with experience in emergency or specialty medicine, who is passionate about education, mentorship, and fostering community within the veterinary profession.

This role is a part of the Student Programs Team and partners closely with the Talent Acquisition team, and Regional Operations team to design and deliver high-impact campus engagement programs—particularly wetlabs and hands-on learning experiences—that empower veterinary students and promote connection with Alliance Animal Health.

The Specialist will travel frequently to veterinary schools to host events, lectures, and workshops, helping students explore the many career pathways within our network and supporting them in building confidence, skills, and professional networks.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the design, coordination, and facilitation of veterinary student wetlabs, workshops, and hands-on learning experiences to strengthen engagement and clinical confidence.
  • Serve as a visible and trusted clinical ambassador for Alliance Animal Health at universities, student conferences, and career fairs across the U.S.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary schools, faculty, and student organizations to promote externship and career opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Student Programs Director to develop and implement strategic campus recruiting initiatives aimed at attracting diverse and passionate DVM students.
  • Conduct outreach and ongoing relationship management with students, nurturing their journey from externship through early career stages.
  • Partner with regional and hospital leaders to identify externship placement opportunities and ensure a strong match between student learning goals and hospital capabilities.
  • Coordinate and manage campus events, presentations, and sponsorship opportunities, including travel logistics and budgeting.
  • Support the maintenance of a robust Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and CRM, ensuring accurate candidate tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Talent Acquisition, Marketing, and Operations teams to elevate brand presence and student program visibility.
  • Travel up to 75% during the academic year (September–May); travel may decrease as the team expands.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT) in good standing.
  • 3–5 years of clinical veterinary experience, preferably including emergency or specialty practice exposure.
  • Passion for mentorship, education, and empowering veterinary students through hands-on experiences.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to confidently engage students and faculty in both small and large group settings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport and trust with students, faculty, and hospital partners.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience with event coordination and/or campus outreach preferred.
  • Comfort with technology, social media, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Must reside within 25 miles of a major airport; passport required.

Preferred:

  • Experience facilitating wetlabs, CE sessions, or educational events for veterinary students.
  • Previous involvement in veterinary recruiting, campus relations, or professional development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or CRM software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Technology, or related field.
