Partnerships Principal - Via Student Transit

Via is innovating transportation with technology that transforms how people commute and aims to improve student transit across the U.S. They are building a new team to lead student transportation partnerships, seeking a Partnerships Principal to manage and develop relationships with school districts and local governments.

Skills

  • Strong business development and client relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage complex stakeholder relationships
  • Problem solving with proactive ownership and follow-through
  • Experience in education, student transportation, or B2G sales/account management preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and close partnership opportunities with school districts and departments of education
  • Serve as the primary contact for partners to build trust, ensure successful outcomes, and drive renewals
  • Communicate confidently with stakeholders including superintendents and procurement officers
  • Create persuasive proposals, RFP responses, and partner communications
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to launch and grow student transit programs
  • Develop playbooks and processes to enhance sales and partner support

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA preferred but not required
