POSITION OVERVIEW
This position is primarily responsible for providing personal support to the campus with the highest need in a multifaceted role. This position requires you to be able to cover all responsibilities within the registrar role as well as the secretary role. The position works alongside the Student Membership Team at Vertex to ensure that all LTS school registrar/secretary needs and expectations are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to work in a multifaceted role that requires you to change roles as needed day to day from school to school to meet their unique needs
Maintain courteous, respectful relationships with students, staff, and parents to resolve issues; communicate procedures and policies, and provide customer service
Ability to perform all registrar duties, including but not limited to:
Provide enrollment information and assistance to new/withdrawing families
Registration and withdrawal of students
Process and maintain daily student attendance records
Prepare report cards by grading period
Request and provide student records when students enroll or withdraw
Collect and provide enrollment numbers/information to Vertex
Maintains database of student schedules, runs schedule reports and adjusts student schedules as necessary
Maintains office and student CUM files when onsite
Performs all other duties of a similar nature or level
Ability to perform all secretarial duties, including but not limited to:
Greets and checks in all students, parents, volunteers, and guests as needed through the Raptor system with excellent customer service skills
Places and reconciles orders with attention to detail and accuracy
Answers and transfers calls and provides required LTS information to callers in a friendly and professional manner
Assists with planning school events and provides support as needed
Performs all other clerical duties of a similar nature or level
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Certification/Experience
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Proven experience as a successful registrar, 2+ years experience preferred
Behavioral Competencies:
Ability to remain self-directed as well as to independently seek out answers to questions, eager to grow and learn
Communicative, customer service based
Highly detail oriented
Proficient in PowerSchool (SMS)
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google, Skype, GoToMeeting, etc.
BACKGROUND CHECKS
The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Must be able to obtain and hold a valid IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card at all times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Travel between campuses is required.
This position requires the need to lift objects (up to 25 pounds) on occasion.
This position may require sitting for long periods at times, talking on the phone, standing, kneeling, stooping and long periods of concentration.
