The Career Coach, under general supervision, provides professional career guidance and services to students and alumni. Fosters relationships within the university to facilitate collaborations and assists with departmental activities and events.

Responsibilities:
Provides career coaching and advisement to students and alumni regarding career development, career planning, and other facets of career education.
Critiques LinkedIn profiles, resumes and cover letters; performs mock interviews.
Advises students on available job or internship opportunities by individual appointment.
Supports the mission by monitoring departmental resource and social media accounts, pop-up advising events, and weekly meetings.
Assists students, alumni, faculty, and staff with set up, usage, and troubleshooting HireWarriors accounts.
Assists with scheduling and approval of appointments on the HireWarriors platform.-
Assists with programs and activities that assist students and alumni with job search and admission into graduate and professional schools. Assists with planning, executing, and marketing sponsored events and activities, such as career fairs, award programs, etc.
Administers career interest inventories and career assessments that assist students and alumni in the career decision making process.
Records/maintains statistics and pertinent utilization data and compiles in the form of reports.
Conducts workshops, seminars, and other presentations to students, faculty, employers, and alumni groups on career and professional development topics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to prioritize, multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
Knowledge of career coaching and advisement.
Knowledge of career assessment software and career and student development theories.
Knowledge of job market trends.
Experience in human resources or recruiting.
Experience working with Canva, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Outlook.
Experience using social media platforms for marketing purposes.
Minimum Salary: $35,568
Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with some evenings and weekends as needed.
Supervision of Others: The position generally does not supervise employees.
Work Location: This is not a remote position. The selected candidate will be required to work on campus.
