This is a temporary non-tenure-track full-time position funded through a federal grant. Primary duties will include being responsible for creating the virtual simulation scenarios. Implementing the immersive virtual simulation as part of clinical and for remediation. Conduct training for faculty on the use of immersive virtual simulation and evaluate immersive virtual as these relate to student learning outcomes. Duties also include providing service, as needed, to your department, college, and university. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a master's degree or graduate hours demonstrating significant progress toward the completion of a master's in nursing; have 3 more years of clinical nursing experience; and a current unrestricted/unencumbered license to practice registered nursing within the state of Texas. Those who are advanced practice nurses should meet and have all certification required for their specialty. We strongly encourage candidates with a) the potential for or prior experience with seeking and/or securing external grant funding; b) a strong desire to work with first-generation students, and c) have the ability to teach in areas that complement or strengthen both our undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.
