What we want
The Program Aide manages day-to-day operations of academic research. Assists in the planning, implementation, and coordination of various program events, such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and meetings. Plays a role in program budget monitoring, communication, file management, and logistical coordination.

Pay: $18.00 an hour

Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in event coordination or program management is a plus.
Experience in public health is a plus.
Experience and prior exposure to research, especially in large database studies, data governance and management is a plus.

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead teams
Ability to assist with the development of marketing materials and program communications.
Ability to maintain program files, records, and databases.
Knowledge in public health such as courses in Health Policy and Management (e.g., Introduction to Health Policy and Management, Health Care Financial Management, and Health Policy and Politics)
Knowledge in program management with related coursework (e.g. project management in health systems)
Awareness of the structure and function of research teams, and academic labs
Responsibilities
Assists with Meetings
Prepares materials for meetings and helps track progress on action items across program/project activities
Supports the scheduling and coordination of meetings, ensuring that all relevant materials are available to participants.
Takes minutes/notes and follows up on meeting outcomes.
Coordinates Logistical Arrangements for Events
Assists in the logistical coordination of travel, accommodation, and other arrangements for seminars, workshops, orientations, and special events.
Ensures all event materials and supplies are available and organized for each event.
Works with vendors, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure event success.
Assists in Operations and Management
Manages lab resources, supplies, and equipment
Tracks and process expenditures, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
Supports faculty, and staff with special projects as needed
