Sales Engineer - Federal

SpyCloud is a cybersecurity company focused on disrupting the criminal underground by protecting identities and preventing account takeover. They are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to support the Federal sales organization and channel partners, bringing deep expertise in identity protection, threat intelligence, SaaS integration, and federal requirements to drive technical sales and solution adoption.

Skills

  • Extensive presales experience in cybersecurity, especially identity protection and threat intelligence.
  • Ability to run technical demos, create integrations, and articulate complex technical solutions clearly.
  • Familiarity with cloud security, APIs, SIEM integrations (Splunk, Elastic), and scripting (Python, Bash).
  • Experience supporting federal procurement processes, RFIs/RFPs, and federal compliance considerations.
  • Established network of US Federal and Federal channel technical contacts.
  • Experience with link analysis tools (e.g., Maltego, IBM i2, Palantir) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Federal account and channel teams to present SpyCloud solutions tailored to federal use cases and environments.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept work to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Perform requirements analysis, evaluation management, and technical integration guidance (APIs, data ingestion, workflows).
  • Contribute technical content for RFIs/RFPs and respond to federal procurement requirements.
  • Enable and train Federal channel partners (resellers, distributors, SIs) on solution capabilities and joint GTM activities.
  • Leverage SpyCloud data for adversary/criminal hunting and translate findings into customer-relevant recommendations.
  • Relay field and Fed-specific product feedback to Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers to maximize platform value and address evolving identity threats.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCIH, GIAC) are desirable.
  • Federal compliance training or coursework (NIST, FedRAMP, CMMC) is a plus.
