Responsibilities
- Develop and manage domestic and international supplier base for raw materials used in mechanical components
- Lead RFIs, RFPs and RFQs and act as primary supplier interface
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to ensure continuity of supply and protect company interests
- Partner with Design and Supply Chain Engineering to support DFM, trade studies and requirements for NPI and production
- Conduct supplier site visits to assess operational capability, capacity and financial health
- Monitor industry trends and technology roadmaps to identify and mitigate supply risks
- Drive cost management, cost reduction initiatives, and avoidance of obsolescence
- Prepare and present supplier/contract value propositions and cost reviews to executive stakeholders
- Manage supplier analysis including capacity, market position, strategic direction and risk assessment
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Relevant procurement, materials or operations background
- ITAR eligibility (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or ability to obtain required authorizations
