- Mixed-signal PCB design and board bring-up
- Experience with processors, FPGAs, high-speed SerDes, and DRAM interfaces (DDR4)
- Analog and digital signal chain experience (ADC/DAC, op-amps)
- Power supply design and component selection
- EMC/EMI and thermal qualification and mitigation
- Debugging and test methodology for complex electronics
- Strong programming skills (Python, C/C++) and embedded/Linux familiarity
- Understanding of computer and optical networking (10/100/400/800G, Tbps switches)
- Proven experience managing hardware from concept through production and scaling manufacturing
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 5–10 engineers to design, develop, validate, and deliver gateway electronics
- Drive electrical architecture, specifications, component selection, PCB design, bring-up, and debugging
- Define and manage project milestones, deliverables, and cross-functional alignment
- Collaborate with antenna, mechanical, software, networking, thermal, manufacturing, and test teams
- Implement automated design validation and production test strategies
- Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering talent while setting technical standards
- Own engineering lab and development workspace build-out and capital management
- Capture lessons learned and drive long-term technical and business solutions with a focus on reliability, cost, and user experience
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain an excellent safety record
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or related STEM discipline (required)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant field preferred
