About the Job:
The Human Resources department is looking for a Senior Benefits Analyst with a strategic and people centered focus on benefit plan administration, data integrity, and retiree planning to lead high-impact projects that shape the employee experience at every stage of the career lifecycle. This role is central to the administration and evolution of the Authority’s health, welfare, and retirement programs—serving as both a subject matter expert and a trusted, service-minded partner to employees and leadership.
This role is responsible for managing annual open enrollment, ACA reporting, and benefit audits, while also supporting initiatives that prepare the organization for a growing retiree workforce—including CalPERS Classic members and those entering the Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP). With visibility across departments, the Senior Benefits Analyst contributes to strategic planning efforts that directly affect workforce wellbeing, long-term benefit sustainability, and organizational readiness.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in public sector benefits, process efficiency, strong analytical and communication skills, and an ability to build trust across departments by translating policy into practice.
