About the Team

The Blue Skies division partners with hedge funds, mutual funds, invest

ment managers and other financial institutions to help them meet regulatory and compliance requirements. We provide data driven regulatory solutions that support oversight, reporting and risk management across the investment ecosystem. Our team is a growth focused sales organization with a strong emphasis on expanding our footprint with new clients in the investment and regulatory compliance market.

About the Role

The Sales Executive for Blue Skies is a new business role responsible for identifying, developing and closing opportunities with hedge funds, mutual funds and investment management firms. You will sell LexisNexis Blue Skies Regulatory Solutions to compliance, operations, legal and risk leaders, driving adoption of our data and regulatory tools.

This role is focused exclusively on generating new revenue and building a new client portfolio.

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Driving new business by sourcing, qualifying and closing new accounts within the investment and regulatory compliance market.

  • Building and executing strategic account plans that include market research, stakeholder mapping and tailored outreach.

  • Creating opportunities through proactive outbound activity including calls, emails and social outreach.

  • Delivering clear and compelling product demonstrations that highlight the value of Blue Skies regulatory and compliance solutions.

  • Educating and advancing leads from Marketing and Sales Development into sales opportunities.

  • Developing strong relationships with decision makers including compliance officers, risk leaders, operations executives and legal teams.

  • Meeting monthly and quarterly new business targets that focus on new revenue and new client acquisition.

  • Maintaining accurate pipeline management using Salesforce to track activities, forecast deals and manage handoffs.

  • Staying informed on the regulatory landscape, competitor offerings and the changing needs of investment and fund clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent sales experience.

  • Two or more years of B2B sales experience with experience selling SaaS or data driven solutions strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in new business development including prospecting, pipeline creation and closing.

  • Strong communication, presentation and consultative selling skills.

  • Excellent organization, prioritization and time management abilities.

  • Experience work ing with customers in the financial services, securities or investment management market is strongly preferred, especially within regulatory and compliance environments.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and respond quickly to customer needs.

  • Comfortable with up to 20% percent travel.



U.S. National Base Pay Range: $78,800 - $131,300. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.

Base Pay Range for CO is $78,800 - $131,300. Base Pay Range for IL is $82,800 - $137,800. Base Pay Range for Chicago, IL is $86,700 - $144,400. Base Pay Range for MD is $82,800 - $137,800. Base Pay Range for NY is $86,700 - $144,400. Base Pay Range for New York City is $90,700 - $151,000. Base Pay Range for Rochester, NY is $74,900 - $124,700. Base Pay Range for OH is $74,900 - $124,700. Base Pay Range for NJ is $89,012- $142,188.
