Skills
- Proficiency in thermal and fluids analysis at component and system levels using tools like Sinda/Fluint/Thermal Desktop or commercial FEM/FVM/FDM solvers.
- Hands-on test experience: test plans, instrumentation, data acquisition, and post-test analysis.
- Experience solving multidisciplinary problems on integrated vehicles and working with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with scripting for analysis automation (MATLAB or Python).
- Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics and heat transfer (conduction, convection, radiation).
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture, sizing, and development of thermal systems (insulation, heaters, TPS, environmental conditioning).
- Build, execute, automate, and validate thermal analyses at component, subsystem, and vehicle levels.
- Provide technical direction to design and development engineers on thermal application and requirements compliance.
- Develop and execute thermal test plans, perform test article integration, instrumentation setup, and data processing.
- Support vehicle and engine thermal system development, stage testing, and flight operations.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in engineering or a related field (required).
- Graduate degree in engineering or related field (preferred but not required).
