- Chemical plant operations and process design experience
- Hydrometallurgy or metallurgical processing knowledge (mineral processing, pyrometallurgy, electrometallurgy) preferred
- Pilot plant design and operation, testwork execution
- Process modeling and simulation (HSCsim, SysCAD, METSIM) and equipment sizing
- Flowsheet development and trade-off analysis
- Commissioning and ramp-up experience
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated, hands-on approach
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable processes and continuous improvement
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to design and implement new process plants and equipment
- Design and run testwork and pilot plants; translate pilot results to full-scale equipment sizing
- Conceptualize and develop process flowsheets and perform trade-off evaluations
- Perform process plant design, support installation, and assist with commissioning and ramp-up
- Troubleshoot and provide operational support to resolve complex chemical and metallurgical processing issues
- Conduct trade-off studies and financial evaluations linking technical choices to project outcomes
Education
- B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline
