State LE Account Executive - Central U.S.

Peregrine Technologies builds mission-driven SaaS used by public safety agencies nationwide to improve operations and decision-making. We are seeking an experienced State Law Enforcement Account Executive to own and grow state-level opportunities across the Central U.S., managing long, complex sales cycles, delivering executive-level demos, and partnering cross-functionally to close high-value contracts.

Skills

  • 12+ years of field sales experience in enterprise software/SaaS
  • Proven track record selling SaaS into net-new, complex state-level accounts with quota overachievement
  • Experience managing 0-to-1 complex sales processes and solution-based selling
  • Strong executive-level presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate and close legal agreements and guide customers through onboarding
  • Familiarity with federal and state grant opportunities and public sector procurement
  • Comfort working with public safety / law enforcement customers (strongly preferred)
  • Located in a major metropolitan area within the Central U.S. and able to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Strategically assess, prioritize, plan, and sell to state-level law enforcement customers
  • Prospect, qualify, manage, and close high-value, complex sales opportunities to meet or exceed quota
  • Deliver senior-level presentations and product demonstrations that highlight Peregrine’s value and capabilities
  • Own the full sales cycle and coordinate cross-functional teams (deployment, marketing, legal, operations) to enable customer success
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customers’ current and future technology roadmaps to align Peregrine’s solutions
  • Identify, develop, and document go-to-market best practices and serve as a peer leader within the sales organization
  • Negotiate commercial and legal agreements and support onboarding of new customers
  • Pursue and leverage federal/state grant opportunities and funding mechanisms where applicable

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Advanced degree (MBA or related) is a plus but not required
