This position is Hybrid Remote Work. The duties of this position are performed remotely as well as at our central office in Salem. The ability to report to Salem is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist 2 to develop and deliver training for internal and external parties to support Forest Resources Division programs to improve consistency in program delivery and increase awareness of Forest Resource Division programs through the production of visual media.

Minimum Qualifications Learning & Development Specialist 2

Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing adult education courses, or applying web-based technologies in a blended learning environment

OR

Five years of work experience designing, planning, and implementing organizational development strategies.


*A bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Psychology, Business or Public Administration, Training and Development, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or related field may substitute for three years of the work experience stated above.

Desired Skills:

  • General knowledge of practice and techniques of video production.
  • The operation and use of editing equipment.
  • Skill in analyzing data and situations accurately and determining an effective course of action.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methods of learning, training, mentoring and coaching, and group leadership.
  • Skill in video project planning including developing and maintaining project timelines.
  • ​Have sound knowledge of the guidelines, procedures and policies including copyright laws and be able to apply them to field situations.
  • Be self-reliant and resourceful and be able to perform in adverse situations.
