We support customers across various enterprises including Fortune 500 companies, 9/10 of the largest global banks and the Department of Defense.

The world has fundamentally changed. We are growing from 400 employees into the next phase of our journey, and we need passionate talent filled with empathy and agility. The right candidate for the job is ethical, hyper-organized, fanatical about seeing things through to completion, service-oriented, and humble enough to take feedback and coaching yet confident enough to provide feedback and coaching.

Menlo is well-funded for growth and our investors are second to none. They include Vista Equity Partners (“Vista”), General Catalyst, JPMC, American Express, HSBC, and Ericsson Ventures.

The Director, People Operations is a critical role responsible for the daily administration, execution of People processes and systems, as well as the architect of our operational excellence. This position ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of the People team, maintaining data integrity, and guaranteeing compliance with all relevant labor laws all while delivering a best-in-class employee experience. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented leader with a strong background in HR administration, technology, and process improvement. It requires a leader with a "business first" mindset who can design and execute scalable, global processes, oversee the People operations team and serve as the go-to expert for HR systems, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Strategy & Execution: Design, build, and scale our global people operations infrastructure to support our growth. Relentlessly pursue efficiency and effectiveness in all processes, ensuring a superior employee experience.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing People Operations team in the US and India, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer service excellence.

  • Employee Service Delivery: Owns the employee service delivery model and acts as a point of escalation for complex employee inquiries and issues related to HR policies, benefits, and systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • HR Systems and Data Management: Manage and optimize the company's Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), ensuring data accuracy, security, and integrity across all employee records. Serve as the subject matter expert for HR technology, leading system upgrades, implementations, and training. The desired candidate will have managed a large scale HRIS migration/implementation. Workday and/or HiBob preferred.

  • Process and Policy Management: Develop, implement, and maintain efficient HR operational processes and policies, including those related to employee onboarding, offboarding, leave management, and performance reviews. • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the organization's HR practices are in full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Conduct regular audits of HR data and processes. Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports for senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.

  • Global Benefits Administration: Manage all aspects of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, vendor management, and addressing employee inquiries.

  • Global Mobility: Responsible for Immigration & Visa processing, Logistics & Project Management, coordinate Tax & Compensation matters, Policy Administration, Vendor Management and Employee and Manager Support.

  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate seamlessly with our COEs, People Business Partners, and other business leaders to ensure our operational framework enables our talent strategy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with expertise in HR Operations and a minimum of 5 years of leadership in managing a global team.

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale HRIS implementations and migrations.

  • Deep expertise in building and scaling operational processes in a growth and global environment.

  • Strong knowledge of US and international labor laws, particularly in Europe and Asia.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).

  • Experience in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and a track record of using HR metrics to drive business decisions.
