Vice President of Account Management

Koalafi is a fast-growing fintech that provides flexible lease-to-own financing to non-prime consumers through merchant partnerships across furniture, appliances, automotive, and e-commerce. The company seeks a seasoned Vice President of Account Management to build and lead a centralized AM organization that drives retention, expansion, renewals, and strategic executive relationships across enterprise and SMB merchant segments.

Skills

  • Proven leadership building and scaling Account Management/Client Success organizations.
  • Strong analytical instincts and experience using data to drive commercial strategy.
  • Experience in B2B/platform partnerships (fintech, SaaS, or payments preferred).
  • Operational rigor: playbooks, forecasting, KPIs, and lifecycle frameworks.
  • Excellent executive communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and scale a centralized Account Management organization covering Enterprise, Mid-Market, and SMB segments.
  • Define and implement playbooks, coverage models, KPIs, and compensation to drive retention, expansion, and renewals.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations to translate merchant insights into product and GTM strategy.
  • Develop data-driven success plans, renewal and expansion forecasting, and high-impact executive reviews/QBRs.
  • Introduce lifecycle management, automation, and self-service dashboards to increase AM reach and efficiency.
  • Build and lead the Voice of the Customer program and a Merchant Advisory Board to prioritize partner-driven roadmaps.
  • Recruit, coach, and scale a high-performing AM team blending commercial and operational expertise.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required (business, finance, or related field preferred).
  • Advanced degree (MBA) or equivalent is a plus but not required.
