This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Sales in the United States.

As the Director of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the sales strategy for a fast-growing professional services organization. This position combines hands-on client engagement with leadership responsibilities, managing and mentoring a small but growing sales team. You will drive revenue growth by overseeing the sales process end-to-end, from lead generation and proposal development to closing deals. The role requires collaboration with marketing and client services teams to ensure alignment and client satisfaction, while also contributing to strategic decision-making as a member of the leadership team. You will inspire, motivate, and support your team in a fully remote, flexible work environment, helping to build a high-performing, results-oriented culture.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the overall sales strategy to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day sales operations, including responding to leads, conducting needs analyses, preparing proposals, and presenting solutions.
  • Foster trust and build strong relationships with prospective clients to ensure successful onboarding.
  • Fill in and support the sales team as needed, maintaining continuity in client engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and client services to align strategies and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Motivate and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and a supportive work environment.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to company-wide strategic planning initiatives.

  • 3+ years in a sales leadership role and 10+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in professional services.
  • Sales experience in HR, payroll, or benefits is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leading a sales team to achieve measurable success.
  • Strong business acumen and familiarity with operations.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot.
  • High-energy, authentic, and trustworthy leadership style.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Alignment with core values emphasizing growth, client experience, accountability, empathy, and proactive thinking.
  • Must reside in the Eastern or Central time zones; remote work with ~10% travel.
