Director of Business Development (Remote from Massachusetts)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Business Development in Massachusetts.

As the Director of Business Development, you will drive the growth of new business and expand client relationships across the residential housing and development sector. You will lead sales initiatives for digital solutions and listings services, collaborating with regional leadership to implement strategic plans and maximize market presence. This role involves building strong relationships with key decision-makers, delivering persuasive presentations, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing. You will actively participate in industry events, contribute to market insights, and ensure that every client interaction supports long-term growth. The position offers a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where self-motivation, creativity, and strategic thinking are essential. Your work will directly impact revenue growth, brand presence, and industry influence.


Accountabilities:
  • Generate new business and drive revenue through sales of digital solutions and listing services to homebuilders and developers.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for assigned territories to meet or exceed goals.
  • Conduct virtual and face-to-face appointments, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation to proposal development and deal closure.
  • Collaborate with regional and data teams to build relationships with key sales and marketing stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conventions, and client meetings.
  • Track pipeline activity, maintain Salesforce.com records, and provide sales reporting and analysis.
  • Identify upsell opportunities to deliver continuous value to clients and maximize account potential.
Requirements:
  • 2–5+ years of experience in business development, outside sales, or related roles in listings, advertising, or digital media.
  • 2–5+ years of experience selling into new home or real estate industry markets at the VP or Director level.
  • Familiarity with builder digital marketing technologies, including CRM, CMS, data feeds, and lead integration.
  • Experience in SaaS environments with a focus on user acquisition and full sales cycle management.
  • Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com or similar CRM platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment with strong self-motivation.
  • BA or BS in Business or a related field.
