As a Director of Sales in Financial Services, you will lead business development efforts targeting hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity clients, driving revenue growth through data-driven research and solutions. You will manage a dynamic sales pipeline, build and maintain senior-level client relationships, and contribute to the development of innovative products that address evolving market needs. The role requires a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with excellent execution skills, to influence key decision-makers and secure high-value opportunities. You will actively participate in client engagements, presentations, and negotiations, while mentoring your team to achieve ambitious sales targets. The environment is fast-paced and competitive, emphasizing collaboration, creativity, and measurable results. Your impact will be visible in market penetration, client satisfaction, and the company’s overall growth trajectory.


Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue within the buy-side investment sector.
  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting and pipeline development to deal closure.
  • Build and maintain high-level client relationships with hedge funds, mutual funds, and private equity firms.
  • Gather market intelligence and provide insights to inform new product development.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and proposals, articulating the value of data-driven research and solutions.
  • Track and report on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline management.
  • Mentor and guide team members to achieve consistent performance and goal attainment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience selling data-driven research, products, or services to the buy-side investment community.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment research products, and relevant technologies.
  • Proven success in consultative selling, business development, and strategic account management.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Self-starter with high initiative, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Entrepreneurial, goal-oriented, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
