AVP - Southern California (Director of Sales)

Corelight builds network detection and response solutions based on open-source innovations to help organizations speed incident response and hunt threats. The company is seeking an AVP / Director of Sales to lead and develop a team of Strategic & Enterprise Account Executives across Southern California, driving revenue, enabling sales excellence, and partnering with cross-functional teams to scale the business in the region.

Skills

  • Proven sales leadership and team development
  • Deep understanding of complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
  • Strong coaching and pipeline management skills
  • Forecasting and CRM (Salesforce) proficiency
  • Excellent communication and executive presence
  • Data-driven decision-making and adoption of structured sales methodologies
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth distributed environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the territory
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity or network detection is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of Strategic & Enterprise Account Executives in Southern California.
  • Own regional revenue targets and ensure consistent attainment or overachievement of quota.
  • Partner with RVPs and executive leadership to define and execute area sales strategy and territory plans.
  • Coach reps on pipeline development, deal strategy, forecasting accuracy and Corelight’s sales methodology.
  • Ensure adoption of sales processes, playbooks and tools across the region.
  • Collaborate with SEs, Marketing, Channel, Product and other cross-functional partners to drive regional wins.
  • Track performance metrics, produce regular reporting and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent Corelight externally with customers, partners and at industry events as a senior leader.
  • Champion company culture emphasizing low-ego results, service and applied curiosity.
  • Travel regularly within the territory as required.

Education

  • BA/BS technical degree or equivalent
  • Relevant sales leadership experience in enterprise SaaS
