Account Executive - SLED Southeast

Corelight is a fast-growing network detection and response company built on open-source innovations (Zeek, Suricata, YARA) that helps organizations speed incident response and threat hunting. We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to own the SLED (State, Local, Education) Southeast territory — a consultative seller who can engage C-suite buyers, manage complex stakeholder landscapes, drive pipeline, and consistently close enterprise SaaS deals.

Skills

  • 6+ years selling enterprise SaaS in cloud or security to enterprise customers
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and complex sales cycles
  • Proficiency in value-based solution selling with focus on business outcomes
  • Proven territory-based selling track record
  • Familiarity executing formal sales processes and qualification frameworks
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting skills
  • Consultative approach with ability to pivot in meetings and handle executive-level conversations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change

Responsibilities

  • Understand and articulate Corelight solutions and customer value in the SLED sector
  • Engage and advise C-suite and executive stakeholders with industry-driven business insights
  • Develop, manage, and close business to meet or exceed quarterly sales quotas
  • Coordinate with partner ecosystem to optimize go-to-market opportunities
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and deliver expert-level forecasting
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align strategy and achieve company objectives
  • Act as a trusted advisor, aligning Corelight solutions to client goals and use cases
  • Travel regionally for customer meetings, briefings, and in-person interviews

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience will be considered
