Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

Job Description

This role is based in our 2644 30th Street, Santa Monica office

As a Sales Manager for our Fashion events, you'll build strong customer relationships that drive retention and new business growth. You'll deliver exceptional customer experiences while selling across multiple products and revenue streams to diverse clients—from major accounts to independent businesses.

Working with the Head of Sales, you'll implement strategies that maximize revenue potential while staying ahead of market trends to create tailored client solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Exceed sales targets across multiple products and revenue streams for our Fashion events
  • Develop your territory strategically, building a strong pipeline of retention and new business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate forecasting models in Salesforce that provide real-time insights for business planning
  • Meet weekly productivity KPIs for lead generation, prospecting, client meetings, and follow-ups
  • Create customized sales presentations and packages that capitalize on market trends
  • Negotiate contracts skillfully, addressing customer objections to maximize revenue
  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences throughout the sales cycle
  • Identify new revenue opportunities through market research and analysis
  • Stay current on industry developments to ensure relevant, compelling sales pitches
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to maintain a strong presence in the fashion space
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and event teams to meet customer needs

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of sales experience in media, sponsorship, or B2B event sales, preferably in fashion
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively and close deals with a consultative approach
  • Success managing high-level business in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Creative thinking skills to develop tailored customer solutions
  • Strategic mindset for managing relationships and identifying growth opportunities
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities while meeting targets
  • Self-motivation balanced with collaborative team spirit
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce CRM
  • Commitment to continuous learning about industry trends and developments
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% for client meetings and industry events

The base salary range for this role is $72,000- $85,000,  based on experience.
