Senior Learning & Development Specialist

Gusto is a payroll, benefits, and HR platform supporting hundreds of thousands of small businesses. The CX Learning & Development team is seeking a Senior L&D Specialist to design and deliver data-driven, AI-enabled learning experiences, facilitate training, manage programs and stakeholders, and measure learning effectiveness to improve customer experience outcomes.

Skills

  • 5+ years of professional Learning & Development experience
  • Strong facilitation and coaching capabilities
  • Instructional design and curriculum development
  • Hands-on experience with AI-enabled learning tools, LLMs and prompt engineering
  • Data-driven approach to measure and optimize learning effectiveness
  • Program management and cohort oversight
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-priority environments

Responsibilities

  • Design and facilitate instructor-led and AI-augmented training sessions for CX teams
  • Integrate AI-enabled design approaches and authoring tools to develop scalable, personalized curriculum
  • Use AI-driven analytics and dashboards to identify skill gaps and measure program impact
  • Operationalize AI to automate administrative tasks and streamline program management
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather feedback, present insights, and align learning outcomes to business goals
  • Coach CX professionals and provide targeted feedback to reinforce learning and performance

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CPTD) are a plus but not required
