Account Manager (North Central / Columbus)

GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, privately-held cybersecurity solutions and services firm serving large enterprises and government agencies. The Account Manager (North Central / Columbus) will partner with an Account Executive to support the sales lifecycle, drive customer retention and growth, manage renewals and upsells, and represent the AE with customers and vendors.

Skills

  • Proven success in inside sales or account management
  • Experience in cybersecurity industry or selling security solutions
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com and CRM workflows
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and work within a team
  • Comfortable with flexible work schedule and some travel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as dedicated Account Manager supporting a specified Account Executive to maintain and grow business within assigned accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and drive issues to resolution
  • Act as liaison between customers, vendors, and GuidePoint resources
  • Develop and retain product, vendor and industry knowledge to provide value to customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and AE’s customers
  • Manage open opportunities and identify whitespace and upsell opportunities with guidance from AE
  • Represent the AE at customer meetings as needed and assist in closing renewals, upsells and net-new sales cycles
  • Proactively support upcoming renewals and forecast management
  • Promote and drive GPS Professional Services engagements across the account base
  • Use Salesforce.com to track opportunities, generate quotes and manage renewals when required
  • Collaborate on targeted marketing communications and follow-up

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relevant work experience accepted in lieu of degree
