New Business Account Executive - Central (Commercial)

GitLab is an open-core software company delivering an AI-powered DevSecOps platform used by thousands of organizations. The New Business Account Executive will focus on acquiring net-new customers in greenfield territories across the US, building pipeline through high-quality prospecting and managing the full sales cycle with C-level and technical buyers.

Skills

  • Proven B2B SaaS net-new logo acquisition and new business development experience
  • Strong outbound prospecting across phone, email, social, and creative channels
  • Consultative selling and discovery skills for engaging C-level and multi-stakeholder groups
  • Ability to manage multiple complex opportunities and maintain structured follow-up cadence
  • Familiarity with consumption/usage-based business models and positioning value beyond licensing
  • Proficiency with modern sales tech stack (Salesforce, Clari, Outreach, ZoomInfo/Cognism, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, 6sense)
  • Comfort working in a dynamic, learning-focused environment with coaching and iteration

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full new logo acquisition cycle from first outreach through close for high-growth target accounts
  • Create and maintain strong pipeline coverage via consistent prospecting across phone, email, social, and creative outbound channels
  • Run discovery meetings to uncover business pain, quantify impact, and align GitLab’s value proposition with executive priorities
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles engaging C-level executives, IT leaders, and buying committees
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans including account segmentation and prioritization
  • Partner with Solutions Architecture and Customer Success to orchestrate technical evaluations, POCs, and post-sale handoffs
  • Apply GitLab sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, Command of the Message) to qualify pipeline and maintain predictable forecasting
  • Maintain consistent Salesforce practices with detailed notes, use cases, and competitive insights

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Relevant sales training or certifications are a plus
