Payroll & Operations Specialist

Form Health is a venture-backed virtual obesity medicine clinic delivering multidisciplinary, evidence-based care via telemedicine. The Payroll & Operations Specialist will own payroll administration, benefits/leave administration, and support People and Finance operational processes to ensure accurate, compliant pay and scalable HR operations in a fast-growing healthcare startup.

Skills

  • 3-5+ years payroll processing and people operations experience
  • Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems, specifically TriNet
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and multi-state tax requirements
  • Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, growth-stage startup environment

Responsibilities

  • Process biweekly and semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees, including clinicians, hourly staff, and corporate team members
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefit contributions
  • Maintain payroll system data integrity and manage updates for new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes
  • Partner with TriNet and Finance on payroll reporting, reconciliations, and compliance support
  • Serve as first point of contact for payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly and confidentially
  • Support benefits administration including enrollments, changes, and audits
  • Assist with compliance reporting (ACA, workers’ comp, state and federal labor laws) and support audits
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Clinical Operations on workforce data needs
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase payroll/HR operational efficiency
  • Support ad hoc administrative projects aligned with Finance/Accounting and People leadership needs

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
  • Payroll or HR certification (e.g., CPP) is a plus
