Job Description
The Sales Manager for Teledyne Acton Optics will manage and develop new and existing OEM customers. The focus will be on developing and growing OEM customers for UV optics and coatings products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Research and develop new business opportunities for Teledyne Acton Optics with a focus on projects exceeding $500K in annual revenue.
Build strong long-term customer relationships with current and developing OEM Customers based on mutual strategic value and project support.
Bring a systematic approach to business development
Have strong business acumen to accurately scope projects and size opportunities.
Prepare all documentation for requests for proposals (RFPs) and include details of product requirement specific to OEM customer.
Develop in-depth knowledge of Teledyne Acton Optics products and capabilities to obtain complete fluency in our technologies and solutions.
Work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Engineering as an internal customer champion.
Work across geographic boundaries as part of a team working with Multinational corporations
Assist in regional marketing efforts to strengthen pipeline of projects
Identify and communicate opportunities for new products and services based on analysis of Application trends
Other tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum of BS degree (MS preferred) in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math) subject.
At least 5+ years in a Business Development, sales, or marketing role.
Detail oriented and persuasive
Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Skilled in use of MS Office tools. SAP and Salesforce knowledge a plus.
Must have appropriate Passports and be free to travel to countries, in full compliance with US and International law.
Prefer candidates with experience selling optical components, coatings, and assemblies
Citizenship Requirements
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
