Strategic Account Executive

Contentful is a leading digital experience platform helping organizations deliver personalized, composable content at scale. They are seeking an experienced Strategic Account Executive to drive net-new revenue and expansion within strategic North American accounts by leading consultative, value-based sales cycles and coordinating cross-functional teams to secure complex enterprise deals.

Skills

  • Enterprise SaaS/PaaS sales experience (Martech, CMS, personalization, or digital experience technologies).
  • Proven ability to expand large multinational accounts and sell to VP/C-level stakeholders.
  • Experience selling across North America and managing cross-border accounts.
  • Strong consultative and value-based selling skills; adept at articulating measurable customer outcomes.
  • Familiarity with MEDPICC or equivalent deal qualification frameworks.
  • Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional technical and customer teams.
  • Excellent presentation, proposal development, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute strategic account plans for complex, multinational organizations with a dedicated cross-functional team.
  • Prospect, qualify, and manage full sales cycle from discovery through contract negotiation and close for net-new and expansion opportunities.
  • Apply value-based selling to align Contentful’s platform to customers’ digital experience and ROI needs.
  • Collaborate closely with BDRs, Solution Engineers, Customer Success, partners, and marketing to secure technical and commercial wins.
  • Prepare and present proposals, RFI/RFQ responses, pricing structures, and executive presentations.
  • Use sales qualification frameworks (e.g., MEDPICC) to structure and drive large, complex deals.
  • Refine and evolve strategic sales processes and contribute market/competitor insights.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience (preferred)
