SUMMARY

Drive educators (at all levels) to make the right decision regarding learning outcome choices for students and teachers. The National Sales Account Executive reports into the Director of Sales for Supplemental/Acceleration & Assessment, and will work directly with Sales VPs, Directors, Account Executives, Account Managers and Specialists. 

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Sales Account Executive to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving and executing our national sales strategy, focusing on expanding our client base, managing strategic accounts, and building lasting relationships with key decision-makers in the education sector. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing large accounts, and ensuring that our solutions are aligned with the needs of our diverse educational partners.

As a National Account Executive, You will be responsible for partnering with sales colleagues to generate new business, manage large accounts, and ensure that our solutions are aligned with the needs of our diverse educational partners. You will position and sell from prospecting to close, while partnering with Sales VPs, Directors, Account Managers and Specialists to help them with sales strategies and positioning ranging from prospecting to close for Savvas Learning Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment products, services and solutions. To make this happen, you will enjoy the opportunity to develop and maintain ongoing relationships with the sales team markets/regions and share your expertise in Savvas Learning’s offerings, pedagogy, and the competitive environment with school district decision makers. You will partner directly with all sales team members and product management to advance Savvas Learning products, services and solutions. At times, you may cover and support open territories to drive sales revenue and to be a sales partner and model for others. This is a remote-based position requiring substantial travel.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Achieve National S/A&A revenue targets
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve national revenue targets and expand market share across key regions.
  • Conduct effective sales winning presentations, product demos, and proposals to engage prospective clients and close deals.
  • Identify and prioritize target accounts, conducting in-depth research to understand their educational needs and pain points.
  • Building sales capacity in all markets
  • Train and mentor the Account Executive team to improve their content knowledge and overall presentation skills

Account Management

  • Build and/or partner to create sales pipeline and be able to forecast opportunity stages
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with senior decision-makers at K-12, higher education institutions, and corporate learning centers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring clients' needs are met.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM tools to track sales activities, manage customer relationships, and report on performance.

Market & Industry Knowledge:

  • Stay up to date on trends and developments in the EdTech industry, as well as the challenges and opportunities facing educational institutions.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of the company’s product offerings, enabling you to communicate value propositions effectively.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork
  • Collaborate with the marketing, customer success, and product teams to ensure alignment on client needs and product offerings.
  • Partnering with sales enablement to train the sales team in how to deliver relevant and effective messaging for the product line
  • Represent Savvas as a thought leader in the Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment fields, stay current on national and state initiatives, and develop relationships with thought leaders. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Skills/knowledge/abilities 

  • Must possess a deep understanding of Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment market.
  • Deep knowledge and passion for learning in K-12 Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment solutions 
  • Academic experience and or training in K-12 Supplemental, Intervention and Assessment areas with proven expertise.
  • Experience in networking with high level district administrators and decision makers.
  • Previous experience in selling and servicing in the education market is desirable.
  • College degree required with advanced degree or specialty related training highly desirable in the area of
  • Educational or Instructional Technology. Represent Savvas as a thought leader in the Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment field, stay current on national and state initiatives, and develop relationships with thought leaders.
  • Ability to have pointed conversations with school district experts in the areas of K-12 Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment solutions for all students
  • Strong presentation and communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Demonstrate the ability to deliver winning presentations in large and small group high-stakes presentations.
  • Highly skilled in persuasion, argumentation, and influencing experts and decision makers in the areas of K- 12 Supplemental, Personalized Learning, and Assessment technology
  • Ability to lead and mentor Account Executive team members.
  • Fast learning curve in gaining knowledge of new and existing product lines, and current market trends
  • Ability to quickly grasp and present Savvas technology solutions.
  • Comfortable with the use of technology.
