Human Resources Unit
The Controller’s Office Human Resources Unit, housed in the Administration Division, is comprised of diverse and dedicated professionals committed to supporting the department and its 300+ employees with all Human Resources-related matters.

1244 Senior Human Resources Analyst (Labor and Employee Relations)
The 1244 Senior Human Resources Analyst performs advanced journey-level professional duties in areas of employee relations, discipline, labor relations, equal employment opportunity (EEO), reasonable accommodations, general personnel administration, special projects, and other duties as required. Under the general direction, the 1244 Senior Human Resources Analyst will perform the following essential duties:
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, have a sound understanding of labor relations including Weingarten Rights and the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (MMBA), have experience with conflict resolution and negotiations, and have familiarity with systems and practices for evaluating and addressing employee performance issues.
1. Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university; AND
2. Experience: Three (3) years of verifiable professional Human Resources experience, similar to 1241 Human Resources Analyst, in one or more of the following areas of activity: recruitment and selection; classification and compensation; employee and/or labor relations; benefits administration; human resources operations; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and personnel training.
