Team Overview
We are looking for a talented HR professional to join our Global Benefits team. This is a versatile role that supports the delivery of benefits operations across US, Canada and Latin America. This role is suitable for a professional who is eager to work in a dynamic environment, contribute to the optimization of operational processes, and support the strategic initiatives of HR Benefits at BlackRock.
Provide operational support for the delivery of BlackRock’s Benefits programs, including but not limited to, health and welfare, financial wellness and work/life benefits
Support invoice processing for benefits vendors, including tracking of purchase orders, payments and outstanding invoices
Perform various benefits audits, data analytics and reconciliation projects to ensure the accuracy and completeness of employee data between supporting benefits and HRIS systems
Undertake detailed review of exception reports and resolve with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
Provide analytics and reporting support to complete internal & external surveys, data requests and benchmarking within assigned timeframes
Reconcile benefits funding and headcount & corporate deposits
Provide direction to the payroll team for various benefits instructions
Partner with global benefits partners to build deep understanding of process to serve as backup for other team members
Identify opportunities to optimize benefit operations processes
Support year-end benefits processes to ensure accuracy and timely completion of critical activities (e.g., benefit deductions, corrective deductions, accurate benefits reporting on W2)
Work with benefits administration vendor and payroll to resolve any issues and/or escalations in a timely and accurate manner
Develop an in-depth understanding of the BlackRock benefits offering and benefit administrative processes to serve as a subject matter expert for complex employee inquiries while leveraging existing resources to resolve the inquiry
Provide support to team on other ad-hoc benefits projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Alteryx and SQL query experience preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Detail-oriented with a high regard for confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
3-5 years of experience preferred working within a Human Resources Benefits function demonstrating expertise in benefits strategy, design, compliance, and operations
Proven record of working independently and collaboratively across various functions and locations
A client service work ethic and a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
Strong interest in and knowledge of benefits and well-being leading practices
Results-oriented; successfully manages multiple tasks, takes the initiative to improve his/her own performance, works intensely towards extremely challenging goals and persists in the face of obstacles or setbacks while maintaining quality of work
