The AI Center & DX Lab Coordinator supports the operations, outreach, and project activities of both the AI Center and the DX Lab. This role combines operational management of the Center with active participation in DX Lab consulting projects, including assisting with client meetings held at the Center, preparing project materials, and supporting the student teams in delivering high-quality outcomes. The Coordinator will help maintain a welcoming, innovative environment for guests, partners, and clients, while also contributing to the success of events, workshops, and real-world consulting engagements.
1. AI Center Operations
Open and close the AI Center during operating hours, events, and client meetings.
Ensure all devices (robots, tablets, displays, VR/AR equipment) are charged, updated, and in optimal condition.
Maintain the professional appearance of the Center, including cleanliness, organization, and readiness for demonstrations.
Welcome and orient visitors, showcasing ongoing projects, the Center’s mission, and its capabilities.
Support event execution, including setup, breakdown, and attendee coordination.
Assist with creating engaging content for exhibitions, displays, and digital channels.
Track inventory, manage supply needs, and report technical or maintenance issues.
Collaborate with IT and the Director to troubleshoot and resolve technology issues.
2. DX Lab Project Support and Client Engagement
Assist the Director and DX Lab team with preparing project documentation, presentation materials, and research summaries.
Participate in client and partner meetings held at the AI Center, taking notes, coordinating follow-up actions, and ensuring a professional environment.
Support consulting projects by gathering data, organizing resources, and helping implement project plans under the guidance of faculty and project leads.
Coordinate scheduling for project meetings, workshops, and coaching sessions with clients and student consultants.
Capture and organize project updates for marketing, reporting, and case study purposes.
3. Collaboration and Reporting
Reports directly to the Director of the AI Center & DX Lab.
Works closely with faculty, student teams, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of both operational and project-related activities.
Strong organizational and communication skills, comfortable interacting with diverse audiences.
Interest in AI, digital transformation, and emerging technology applications is preferred but not required.
Comfortable using office productivity tools, presentation software, and basic digital media tools.
Proactive, adaptable, and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Must be a BarryU student.
