Nonprofit Sales Lead

Anthropic is a public benefit corporation building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The Nonprofit Sales Lead will establish and grow Anthropic’s presence in the nonprofit sector by driving strategic partnerships, winning new business, and designing nonprofit-focused go-to-market strategies to help mission-driven organizations adopt safe frontier AI.

Skills

  • 10+ years B2B sales experience in the nonprofit technology sector, preferably SaaS or emerging tech
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder nonprofit sales cycles and securing strategic deals
  • Deep understanding of nonprofit operations, fundraising cycles, grant management, and procurement
  • Experience negotiating within nonprofit procurement and grant-restricted budgets
  • Strong consultative selling, pipeline management, and quota attainment history
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills across program teams to C-suite and boards
  • Strategic and analytical market assessment coupled with creative tactical execution
  • Familiarity with nonprofit technology ecosystems (CRMs, fundraising platforms, program management tools)
  • Commitment to ethical, safe deployment of AI in mission-driven contexts

Responsibilities

  • Win new business and drive revenue within nonprofit organizations, foundations, and social impact enterprises
  • Design and execute sales strategies tailored to nonprofit budget cycles, grants, and procurement processes
  • Build and scale a team to support nonprofit customers from outbound acquisition through customer success and retention
  • Identify and expand use cases across program, development, research, and operations teams
  • Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems (executive directors, boards, program staff, IT, procurement) to build consensus
  • Gather sector-specific user feedback to inform product roadmaps and strengthen offerings for nonprofits
  • Refine nonprofit sales methodology, playbooks, templates, and best practices to improve productivity and consistency
  • Establish strategic partnerships with nonprofit tech platforms, consultants, and sector influencers

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
