Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end manufacturing value chain for assigned products, balancing technical and commercial objectives to meet production targets.
- Evaluate, plan, and prioritize supply chain, production, and test optimizations for both short- and long-term capability and reliability.
- Develop and present business cases for vertical integration, supplier diversification, and strategic partnerships to scale production.
- Continuously analyze make vs buy decisions and decompose systems into subassemblies and process flows to optimize cost, lead time, and flexibility.
- Partner with contract manufacturers to implement repeatable, sustained processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production and testing.
- Be on site with operations partners to manage technical/commercial needs, resolve production issues, and improve capacity.
- Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build prototypes and production hardware, and support hardware testing and integration.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation required to reliably produce hardware at scale and reduce complexity through standardization.
Education
- Degree in a technical field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, math, or a hard science
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
