Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering
- Experience with PCB layout and schematic capture tools (Altium, KiCad, Eagle, Xpedition)
- Hands-on use of electrical test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator)
- Familiarity with low-noise layout, EMI/EMC mitigation, and mixed-signal design
- Understanding of digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, RS-422)
Responsibilities
- Review and update schematics to support PCB layout and hierarchical capture
- Determine layer stackups, select component packages, and perform placement and routing for digital, analog, RF, and power conversion circuits
- Produce PCB layouts for launch vehicle and spacecraft avionics
- Interface with manufacturing and PCB vendors to meet DFM/DFT guidelines
- Create and maintain component and PCB libraries
- Generate and release fabrication, assembly, and test documentation
- Collaborate to improve design rules, constraints, and testability
- Evaluate, utilize, and train team members on PCB design tools
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required
- Relevant academic projects, internships, or professional PCB design experience considered
