Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing test, product sustainment, and production troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with data acquisition and processing using MATLAB and Python.
- Experience developing test automation and automated report generation.
- Strong root cause analysis skills across hardware, firmware, and software failures.
- Experience integrating electrical, opto‑mechanical, and embedded systems.
- Familiarity with instrumentation: power supplies, electronic loads, thermal chambers, function generators, and spectrum analyzers.
- Working knowledge of hardware communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, RS232/485, PCIe, HDMI, and CAN.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage production test flow and day‑to‑day test activities on the manufacturing floor.
- Hands‑on troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrared/opto‑mechanical systems issues discovered during testing.
- Develop and maintain test work instructions in MES and train technicians on procedures and equipment.
- Create a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides and diagrams for rapid resolution.
- Design, develop, and maintain software for test automation, data analytics, and automated reporting.
- Perform root cause investigations for product failures and recommend corrective and preventive actions (RCCA).
- Support returns and failure analysis in collaboration with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Provide early feedback on test design and strategies for new product introductions (NPI).
- Analyze test data, document results, and produce detailed reports identifying defects and improvement areas.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure measurement precision and reliability.
- Optimize test strategies to reduce cycle time while preserving test coverage and product quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test processes and methodologies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
