Skills
- Extensive embedded systems design and troubleshooting experience (8+ years)
- Experience with 8- and 32-bit microcontrollers and Linux-based SOCs
- Familiarity with Ethernet, SPI, I2C, and other common communications buses
- Power management and power supply design across low-voltage DC, medium-voltage AC, and battery systems
- Competence with lab and test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, current probes) and test automation
- Proficient in PCB/layout workflows and EDA tools (Altium Designer or equivalent)
- Strong written and oral communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design and own embedded control electronics from concept to production including component selection, schematic and PCB design, and board bring-up
- Integrate systems at the board and system level with mechanical, software, firmware, and test teams
- Troubleshoot electrical and software boundary issues using lab equipment and software debugging tools
- Support fielded and deployed hardware, sustain products in production, drive engineering improvements and cost-down efforts
- Manage multiple concurrent projects through various development and production stages
- Develop and automate test plans, fixture design, and validation procedures
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Equivalent relevant industry experience acceptable in lieu of formal degree where applicable
